So I called and tried to cancel the order. I don't want to have to worry about that and couldn't imagine losing $1200 or more. I didn't bother reading all or even how it was rectified or even if it was. after placing my order online because I kept reading the reviews and discovered one that mentioned a COUNTERFIT coin. This is definitely the worst experience I've ever had ordering online. Hopefully they will keep up the example they showed with me. I expect that most people with bad experiences tend to make reviews but a company should be judged by how they deal with problem orders. I would note that the pics on the site are stock photos (as they say), so I would be more concerned as far as purchasing collector type coins as opposed to Bullion. I can only say that my one & only experience was very good. I cannot deny those respondents experiences, or conclude there is possible hyperbole being touted. I probably would not have purchased if I did read them. I did not see these reviews prior to purchase but was surprised to see so many displeased customers. I could tell the order-person on the phone was not anything close to a coin expert, but she did accurately detail my order. I did get a confirmation email and tracking information by email. I was told there was going to be a week wait until they were shipped, but I received them five days later. I purchased two 10oz silver bars and a half oz proof gold round. I just completed a transaction with Gainesville Coins and was very satisfied. Unfortunately, Gainesville Coins is definitely not one of them. Their response was sending the email out to me HOURS after I placed the order and attempted to wire the money.īOTTOM LINE: There are plenty of other bullion dealers out there that are willing to do the right thing by their clientele. They told me that they had to "verify with their IT department" as to whether or not the automated email giving the instructions failed. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Additionally, they place 5% of the transaction on your credit card until they receive payment which means I have to contest that charge on my statement because this business is not getting one dime more from me. I am already out $40 worth of fees due to their negligence and they still won't make this right. Mind you, these people do not take personal or cashier checks and they charge a draconian amount if it's put on your credit card. Having just contacted them on the phone, I wired the money to their old account and it, of course, failed. I have purchased upwards of $90,000 worth of precious metals from this dealer when they failed to give me the correct wiring information in order to PAY them for my most current order. They are made by them who work in this stupid business!!! Stay away from these crooks they don't deserve your business. They hold my money for that long and after they see the increase of silver decided to cancel so they could sell it for higher I bet. She just simply said sorry we can not give you any information and just hang up. I said this is me speaking and her response was even worse. A lady answered the phone and asked about my name. This was kinda rude so I asked for a supervisor or owner to know more why this purchase is not going through. I contacted them and they were telling me bunch of lies that they can't do anything about it and I can no longer make business with them. I locked the price when silver was 15.20 and before receiving this email silver went up to 15.86. I went to the bank to see if there was any restriction on my account but no everything seemed fine on my end. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." We will be refunding your card for the full amount. Unfortunately your credit card did not pass the verification by our security department and we have cancelled this purchase. After 5 days of my purchase I receive an email saying "This email is in regard to order 360434. I checked with the bank and the purchase went through smoothly. I was exited for my purchase and I was waiting to receive my billions. I get a phone call to confirm my transaction and went very smooth. I made a purchase of 60 Troy ounces of silver couple of days ago and paid with a card.
